Rodney Tibbs – Introductory notes Intended to assist chairmen/women Rodney Tibbs has spent a lifetime in journalism, is the author of three topographical books dealing with various aspects of East Anglia, and his radio play “Highjack at Penrose Gardens” was broadcast by the BBC in its Midweek Theatre series.
For many years he was a feature writer and later features editor of the Cambridge Evening News. After winning a travelling fellowship for scientific writing he visited the Antarctic with the British Antarctic Survey which now has its headquarters at Cambridge.
He recently retired from journalism and devotes more time to gardening and horticulture. He is an RHS listed speaker.
He lives at Cheveley just outside Newmarket. Interests, apart from gardening, include studying the piano, working on the history of art and when time permits, attempting watercolour painting
